this candy bar was delicious because it reminded me of a Skor bar, only without the bitterness of toffee, as the Daim has the loveliness of almond butter crunch! i loved it to no end….and the coolest part? ikea sells the cake version of this guy at the cafe…so go try it!

EVERYBURGER bourbon

i haven’t posted here in a while….i have been on hiatus, and i apologize. i have been brushing my teeth thrice a day, as to be able to bring you more, and more saccharine love!!!!!!

so, on to our delicious victim!!! EVERYBURGER…not just that one…or the other one…no…everyburger, haha. the name was hilarious, and the concept was adorable. i mean, come, on! they are tiny-ass burgers! i found them at the local asian circuit, and had to give in today, as i have eyed them for a while and promised nini [my baby] a treat!

the taste is a sesame biscuit with white chocolate and milk chocolate filling. it goes very well together for me, as i do lovelovelove sesame to no end. it is a yummy snack, and nini loved it!

next one will be exciting :D exciting and scientific!

look at this package…doesn’t it just scream “please carol, oh please buy me and consume my insides….i am delicious and oh-so bad for you!” doesn’t it exude such naughtiness….well, i did not choose this, my lovely husband did, because he secretly wants to fatten me up for the winter, and has somehow walked me into the trap of a candy blog to deploy this plan of his! shame on you!

ah…but yes. the candy is amazing….like any good japanese biscuit and chocolate combo, only with the added charm of being mushrooms! and for god’s sake, their mascot is a mushroom that is rocking our on a guitar! so yes, milk chocolate and biscuit…not much to say about this but omg make me stop eating them all!

of all the attainable, affordable deutscher chocolate, i think ritter sport is my favourite. the thing i like the most about it is the variety in fillings! my favourite is the one pictured, milk chocolate and strawberry creme. i am a total sucker for chocolate and strawberries! the choclate is tantalizing and the strawberry fill is tangy! i can’t give enough praise to this staple sweet! if you see it, get it! there is sure to be one for you!

this was a gift from my beloved vasily <3 a gift from the motherlands. when he initially gave it to me he confirmed that it is not sweet chocolate, and i was content with that. the feel of this candy as you bite into it is AMAZING. it is a porous chocolate, having a ton of air bubbles in it, thus making is extremely crunchable! you can chomp on it! it is awesome! the taste is a neutral, bitter taste of cocoa. i am an avid fan of bitter chocolate :) it is not a candy you eat in one sitting. it has taken me four to finish it, just because it is very unlikely and somewhat of an aperitif- i feel like eating right after i have a bit of it. this is a duchess amongst chocolates. enjoy a сгава, if you will!

abba zaba - it doesn’t need a catchy logo because it will keep your mouth shut…literally. well, here, i will now pitch one for it!

this taffy bar is old…by candy standards in the united states, coming into existence in 1922. a taffy creation surrounding a peanut buttery center, this candy, as per the usual olde tymey candies, is pretty corn syrupy; overwhelmingly sweet. my first bite, or rather…what proved to be more like a lock-and-grip for your life with my poor jaws, was pleasant. i am a fan of taffy, and this one is no joke. my jaws hurt after i finished it….it was that good! the peanut butter center was delicious…smooth and creamy…seamless in design. chomp….pull….smooth surprise. i liked it. i finished it in one sitting. the war was won.

THIS CANDY BAR IS MARKETED TO MEN

before i begin my evaluation, i must point out that:

a.) I AM AWARE I AM A GIRL HOLDING A YORKIE CHOCOLATE BAR

b.) to prove my conscious state, i am in the kitchen, because, you know, that’s where i belong grumblegrumble

when i first saw this chocolate bar, i was intrigued because it was so chauvinist! i mean, SERIOUSLY, you are chocolate….girls eat you when they are pms-ey or getting over a bad break-up…or whatever [and then there are girls like me that just eat it ALL THE TIME]. it made me chuckle…so i purchased it, and danced all the way home, waiting for tonight to try it!

The candy itself, is a solid milk chocolate bar. SOLID WHOLE MILK CHOCOLATE BAR. upon my first bite i was INSTANTLY reminded of savoy’s chocolate y leche bars, which are your run-of-the-mill solid milk chocolate bars. these were good years back, when they actually used whole milk, and not skim….now they are rubbish.

erm, not really a whole lot to say on this candy…it’s good, but nothing to write home about. i now see there are filled varieties which include:

Raisin & Biscuit
Honeycomb
White
Dark chocolate
Peanut (discontinued)

well, that about sums it up….i need like, 500 gallons of water now to wash down this throat blocking goodness, haha.

today i have begun my tumblr with a NESTLE candy called FRY’S TURKISH DELIGHT. as per the name, it lives up to having dates AND rose in the filling. this candy is a jelly-filled treat. i was TRULY amazed at how delicious it was [being british and all….no offense]. as i initially smelled it i was reminded of the smell of preschool….of over-ripe sweet fruits [primarily bananas] and milk chocolate. as i bit into it i had a REALLY difficult time trying to figure out what EXACTLY i tasted…..and it took me a whiff of fast food to realize it was the essence of DATES. it was truly inspiring. it tastes like a chocolate ma’amoul. it is delightful, remarkable, impressive and momentous…and any other synonym you can imagine. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. GOOD JOB NESTLE. A++

….i really did not expect to be content with this product. this candy made me stfu :D
